WORLD CUP LIMERICKS

Today's Limerick

A striker named Leo, quite grand,
Took the ball, with a flick of his hand.
Though the ref made a call,
He still conquered them all,
With a kick that swept 'round the whole land.

Matchday Mayhem

A fan, quite devoted to greens,
Shouted loud, with the wildest of scenes.
"What a goal, what a save!"
He continued to rave,
Spilling tea on his digital screens.

The Keeper's Leap

The keeper, a hero so keen,
Leapt across the goal, swift and serene.
With a stretch and a dive,
Kept their hopes all alive,
The best save the crowd had e'er seen.

Midfield Maestro

A midfielder, with skill and with grace,
Danced around in that confined space.
Passed the ball, with a flick,
Oh, so clever and quick,
Bringing joy to each cheering face.

The Sudden Shower

The skies opened up with a splash,
As the game reached its final mad dash.
Players slipped, slid, and fell,
But they played mighty well,
Through the puddles, they made a grand dash.

Victory's Cheer

When the final whistle did blow,
Cheers erupted, a jubilant flow.
Flags waved high in the air,
Joy was everywhere,
As the champions basked in their glow.
